ROYAL OBSERVATORY

Railston worked alongside The National Maritime Museum appointed design agency to refurbish the entrance hall and retail area of The Royal Observatory in Greenwich.

The building is a World Heritage Site and is situated on the South Bank of the Thames. Railston undertook the strip-out of the site and then installed new ceilings, flooring and lighting. Railston also supplied and installed  the bespoke joinery and counters including illuminated showcases, cylindrical tables and glass shelving units. The final challenge was to build new ticketing booths that replicated the museum’s architecture.
